Article 8: Assumption of Office
The judge of the Constitutional Court shall assume office after being sworn in before the President of the Republic of Albania.
The oath wording is: “I solemnly swear that I shall always be loyal to the Constitution of the Republic of Albania in fulfilling my duties”.
The mandate of the judge of the Constitutional Court starts on the day of his\her swearing in and ends on the same date of that month, of the ninth year, unless otherwise provided for by the Constitution.
The judge of the Constitutional Court shall stay in office until the appointment of his\her successor.
