1After completion of the necessary training and appointment as a member of the National Bureau of Investigation, the member serves for no less than 7 years in the National Bureau of Investigation, unless dismissed in compliance with this Article’s provisions.
2The employee of the National Bureau of Investigation shall be dismissed by the Director with the consent of the Chief Special Prosecutor, if he or she is:
aconvicted of a criminal offence by a criminal court in Albania or another country;
bcertified as medically unfit for duty with the National Bureau of Investigation by a panel of medical experts to carry out the duty and functions as provided by this law;
cat the conclusion of a disciplinary procedure that has found the National Bureau of Investigation employee to be in breach of the applicable rules of professional conduct on more than three occasions and is judged to be professionally unfit to perform his or her duties; or
çA National Bureau of Investigation employee shall also be removed when new, previously unknown facts which are relevant to the education, qualifications, or trustworthiness of the employee emerge and are ascertained, or which are relevant to and contrary to criteria for their appointment.
