Article 125: Limits to enforcing disciplinary measures

1The administration of the juvenile penitentiary institution shall be authorized to use disciplinary measures against the child in case of a disciplinary misconduct committed by the latter.

2A disciplinary measure must be the last resort taken in relation to the behaviour of the child.

3Work may not be a disciplinary measure.

4The imposed disciplinary measures shall not result in violation or threat to the dignity of the child, violent, inhuman, degrading treatment or physical or mental health damage. It shall be prohibited taking as disciplinary measures the following actions, but not limited thereto:

aphysical or corporal sanctions;

bplacement in isolation;

cfood deprivation or limitation;

çmedical care deprivation or restriction;

dprohibition or restriction to meeting or contacting family members.

5Special rules on enforcement of this article shall be foreseen in the General Regulation of Prisons.
