1Law No. 9877, dated 18.02.2008 “On the Organisation of the Judicial Power in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, shall be repealed upon the entry into force of this Law, except for:

aArticle 18 paragraph 1 and paragraph 3, letter “b” of the Law No. 9877, dated 18.02.2008 “On the Organisation of the Judicial Power in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, which shall be repealed four months after the establishment of the High Judicial Council;

bArticle 18 paragraph 2, of the Law No. 9877, dated 18.02.2008 “On the Organisation of the Judicial Power in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, which shall be repealed 18 months after the entry into force of this Law;

cArticle 18 paragraph 4, of the Law No. 9877, dated 18.02.2008 “On the Organisation of the Judicial Power in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, which shall be repealed upon the election of the deputy chairperson.

çArticles 26 and 27 on the salary of judges, of the Law No. 9877, dated 18.02.2008 “On the Organisation of the Judicial Power in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, which shall be repealed after the entry into force of the new system for salaries and benefits, in the sense of the Law “On the Status of Judges and Prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”.

2Law No. 8588 dated 15.03.2000 “On the Organisation and Functioning of the High Court in the Republic of Albania’, as amended, shall be repealed with the entry into force of this Law, except for:

aArticle 7, letter “b”, “d”, “dh”, and “e”, which shall be repealed four months after the establishment of the High judicial Council;

bArticle 8, on the selection of the deputy chairperson, which shall be repealed immediately after the establishment of the High judicial Council.
